October 16 - Television of the future
The edition I received on Saturday 16 October was unusual in that it contained Monday's & Sunday's TV listings instead of Saturday's & Sunday's.

October 28 - page 6 - Hallowe'en article by Peter Warzynski
Another Mailbox letter on 3 November by Helen Bentley who wrote: "" in an article about keeping nuisance Hallowe'en callers at bay, and I quote: "Officers have also circulated 1,500 alternative posters to shops warning under-18s that they are only able to buy flower and eggs if accompanied by an adult." – I am still trying to work out if this ban refers to all types of flowers and to what malicious use these blooms would be put by mischievous children!"

October 26 - Minty Windows?
October 26 - page 9 of "Made in Leicestershire" supplement.
This one made the Mailbox on 30 October when Pauline Fisher wrote ""In the "Made in Leicestershire section" someone had written Fox's Glazier Mints. The logo was a polar bear so surely glacier was more appropriate – nothing to do with new windows.""
Doesn't everyone know Fox's Glacier Mints?
